The Akusense BZL Series is a high-performance industrial safety light curtain designed for reliable personnel protection and obstacle detection in automated environments. Operating on an infrared through-beam optical principle, this sensor creates an invisible safety barrier that instantly triggers a safety response when an object interrupts the beam.
With a sensing distance ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 meters and a detection capability of 10 mm, the BZL Series delivers precise and rapid object recognition. Its response time of ≤15 ms ensures immediate reaction, making it ideal for high-speed production lines, packaging machinery, and robotic workcells.
This model offers flexible output selection—NPN or PNP—to suit various control systems. The default operation mode is normally closed (NC), where the output circuit disconnects upon beam interruption, enhancing fail-safe performance. Advanced protection features include reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection, ensuring durability and stable operation.
Built with a rugged aluminum housing and rated IP65, the sensor withstands harsh industrial conditions, including dust, moisture, and vibration. The 0.3-meter pig-tail cable with an M12/5-pin connector ensures easy integration. Supported by a wide 12–24V DC power supply and low power consumption (3–8W), the Akusense BZL Series is a cost-effective, dependable safety solution for global industrial automation applications.
